I’ve neglected giving too many updates about my boy for a few reasons, mostly because I want this to be more about my experiences and hobbies, but given that RAR is such a massive part of my life now, it’d be remiss of me to not do the occasional update.
He’s ten days away from being six months old now, and I can’t quite believe it. At times – especially through the darkest days of winter – it’s felt like a lifetime, but overall I have to say it’s just flown by. When he was very small looking after him was really just a case of keeping him clean, warm and fed, and constantly supporting him (physically included). Now though, I can barely remember when he wasn’t strong enough to hold his own head up, or to roll about, or grab his feet.
It’s frightening how quickly he’s developing, and how seamlessly it seems to happen. Every day he can do something he couldn’t the day before, and it’s so fast that it’s very easy to lose track. To think that two months ago he wasn’t eating anything (he has three meals a day now), couldn’t hold his head up for too long, couldn’t laugh… it’s very strange.
I’m sure the next six months are going to go just as fast, and I’m really looking forward to those next milestones; crawling, first steps, first teeth, first word. Sleeping through the night would be awesome too, if you wouldn’t mind working on that one first little man 🙂
