Today is my penultimate day at work, I have one more day left – the 31st – but then that’s it. It’s the Easter weekend now (I’m hoping for a good lie-in tomorrow), then I have a week of leave to take. Training’s off over the weekend too, so no more official workouts until Tuesday, which will be odd. I’ll appreciate the rest, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to do nothing to stay active and get my heart rate up during that time.
For my week off I have lots of things planned. I intend to use this time to do things I want to do, after all I’m still officially employed and this is earned leave. I’m going to start clearing the back garden ready to make a really nice area for the summer, somewhere to sit and talk, and build a barbecue. I also intend to get out, have a wander and start making use of my camera, I’ve barely used it really. I’ll make sure it’s fully charged and get some good clear shots if I can. Other than that I’m going to take it easy and get some proper ‘me’ time I think, do things I enjoy and make me happy. It’s nearly summer after all!
Easter’s a bit of a rubbish holiday as it goes. Sure it’s ok when you’re a kid, chocolate’s always good, but when you’re ‘grown up’ it’s just nice to look forward to the time off. It’s no Christmas that’s for sure, nothing beats that tingle of excitement. The clocks go forward soon too, I love the light evenings, it finally feels like the day doesn’t end when you get home from work. Provided you’ve got a job of course ;).
Today’s song isn’t one for the kids, the lyrics are a teeny bit explicit and I think there’s some nipplage, but by gum, that’s an awesome tune (I love the synth in the background)!
