New Finery

Yesterday my new dobok and belt arrived. I had a quick try on of the jacket and I can see why it’s called a heavyweight! It feels really well made though, I can’t wait to wear it trimmed in class. I think it’ll be nice to wear something that feels so good.

It’s a bank holiday today, so I celebrated with a spectacular lie-in. I’ve only just gotten out of bed, it was simply way too nice to get up from. I could happily have that all over again. I guess working people all over the country know what I’m talking about :).

I have no plans too which is great, other than a dog walk this afternoon, it’s gone really cold and fresh out – like that minty fresh feeling when you’ve brushed your teeth. It’ll be good to go out just some I can get in to the warm, where I should be.

I’ve not really got much more to say, I’m still not with it properly, I’ll sign off with a song which got lodged in my brain last night and was the last thing I remember last night, lying in the dark before I fell asleep. More Reznor goodness from the incredible Pretty Hate Machine album.

  1. Heavyweight gi’s take some getting used to, but they do feel so good. Punches and kicks snap and you feel so powerful. Enjoy it! Where’s the picture of you in the new gi?
